Therapy for Your Head & Your Heart

Alex Dell'Oso, LAC therapist holding space therapy home virtual Arizona trauma therapist

Hi! Welcome to my “therapy office”. I offer online therapy for adults in Arizona who feel caught between anxiety, OCD, and trauma. While these experiences often require separate treatments, they can also be closely connected. Together, we’ll create a personalized approach and navigate any overlap so that you don’t have to choose between supporting how your mind works or honoring your deep emotions.

Is This You?

You try to ignore the “what-ifs” or “maybes” running through your mind but find that your worries and fears keep pulling you out of the present and into a spiral of exhausting emotions. Maybe you even notice how you:

  • Constantly question yourself or seek reassurance (i.e. hello google search)

  • Overanalyze conversations or intrusive thoughts that won’t let up

  • Feel stuck in your mind or emotions and can’t turn away

  • Engage in behaviors you know aren’t helpful, but find it difficult to stop

  • Battle guilt or shame over things you “should” do

  • Push yourself to be everything for everyone, while feeling like it’s never enough

  • Rarely feel safe or calm in your body

  • Desire to feel peace/content but are unsure what that would even feel like

If any of this resonates, you’re in the right place! My approach is compassionate and collaborative, integrating evidence-based support for anxiety, OCD, and trauma in a way that’s tailored specifically for you.

My Specialty Areas

  • Anxiety might show up as overthinking, racing thoughts, tension in your body, irritability, trouble sleeping, or the pressure to always keep it together. Most of the time, my clients with anxiety are very aware of how their anxiety presents. And that makes sense! You’ve essentially been living constantly alert and responsive to your anxiety…sounds exhausting, I see you and am here for you.

Whether your anxiety is long-held or recently intensified, anxiety therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. Our work will be guided by curiosity and compassion to explore the aspects that keep you from feeling calm and grounded. You deserve a space to start slowing down.

  • With OCD, you might not even notice how trapped in the cycle you are. Maybe you’re constantly searching for reassurance, reviewing thoughts, avoiding what feels unsafe, or stuck in “what if” spirals. It’s frustrating, confusing, and often isolating. However OCD shows up for you, we’ll work together to create space between you and those patterns, so they no longer run the show.

In sessions, we’ll look at what’s behind your distress and help you build trust in yourself and your ability to sit with uncertainty. We’ll move step by step and you’ll never be approached with the idea that you should just “stop thinking that way”.

Additionally, it’s important to note that OCD is often under diagnosed. So if you have not received an OCD diagnosis but feel that there may be alignment with your experience, let’s explore it together!

  • You may feel like part of you is always on edge, guarded, disconnected, or waiting for something to go wrong. Even if the past feels far away, it can still show up in your body, your relationships, and the way you engage with the world. I understand how heavy that can feel, and I believe you don’t have to hold it all alone.

With trauma processing, it’s incredibly important for you, as the client, to maintain your autonomy. This means we’ll move at your pace to explore how your experiences have shaped the way you protect yourself. Our work might involve gently tuning into your body, identifying the beliefs that took root, or understanding the parts of you that helped you survive. This is a collaborative journey, grounded in care and a deep respect for your story.

As a side note: If you don’t see a specific issue or presenting concern that you struggle with that doesn’t mean I can’t work with you. Let’s chat in the intro call and determine if we would be a good fit to work together!
